This is not an exact translation. The sentence structure imodern English and Norwegian is quite different, and more so for modern English and archaic Norwegian. This should get the meaning across while being more readable. My comments are written in cursive.

Konrad Rikard Krogh

born in wedlock in Chr.a [short for Christiania, an older name for the capital Oslo] November 6th 1876 by parents dyer Konrad Krogh and wife Helene F[?]. Stian

-sen. Not married, childless, bricklayer, confirmated 1892 in the church of Gamle Aker, Chr.a., living in [literally place of home] Chr.a.

 

About his earlier verdicts u. [short for 'under'] his former

no. 403 in gradebook no.32.

By the verdict of January 20th 1899 of the Christiania court [specifically 'meddomsrett', a court with both juridical judge and lay judges] he is now sentenced to 1 year and 3 moths of penal labour for repeated simple theft, after two former sentences for theft. According to the criminal code §475 three days are deducted. [Most likely they were deducted because he was helt in custody before the sentencing.]

On January 25th he arrived at Botsfengselet [that is, the Penal prison] for 11 months and 28 days. 

 

To be released January 22nd 1900.

[Comments in the margin:] Released January 22nd. 1900 Salary NOK 9,96. [The prisoners were expected to work, and if they behaved well they received more interesting and better paid jobs, and got to keep more of their earnings.]

Said person [abbreviated] is 21 years old. Since his realease from Bodsfengselet on August 30th 1898 he has been living in Chr.a. and made a living as a brick layer. He is in good health [literally has good health]. Has been drinking a lot, and was drunk at the time when the theft, for which he is now sentenced, was committed. None of his family members have been sentenced nor are any of them insane.

3/6: Moved up in [sentence not completed, the meaning is that he was promoted for good behaviour, which means he received a few privileges]

28/6: Warned for attempting to communicate with a fellow prisoner

17/7: Same [Warned] for communicating with a fellow prisoner

30/6: Paints. Well. [meaning he does a good job of it.]

28/11: Said person shall upon release be brought to the police station due to an unpaid fine

2/12: Moved up in [sentence not completed, same as previously]

22/1 99: Said person delivered to the police [possibly short for police station, possibly the police arrived to bring him there]

22/1: Paints. Well.

The clergyman's assessment at the start and the end of the prison sentence was 2/2 for religion, 2/2 for reading and 2/2 for writing.

26/1 1900: Received 1,91 for workwear and upkeep. [The ex-prisoners could apply for financial help, as the government did not want them to steal out out dire need.]

18/9 : Same [Received] 1 same [for] shoes

25/9 1901: Papers sent lawyer Ingstad, Kr.a. [short for Kristiania, the new spelling of Christiania] for use in a new case against said person.

8/10 same [1901] Incarcerated at the national prison of Akershus for 2 years of penal labour due to theft.
