Jay Hagfeldt Skrevet Juli 28, 2024 Del Skrevet Juli 28, 2024 Could someone who has access to the bygebøker for Grue sokn do a lookup for me? I'm trying to determine who was the wife of Arne Olsen, baptized on 24 an 1796, son of Ole Alfsen (Alvsen) and Ragnil Pedersdatter (Kalensky), who were living on the Godtland farm in 1801. Thank you for any help provided. Jay Hagfeldt Lenke til kommentar Del på andre sider

Jay Hagfeldt Skrevet Juli 28, 2024 Forfatter Del Skrevet Juli 28, 2024 thanks, Allan. I have that information. Ole Alvsen and Ragnild Petersdatter had a son, Arne Olsen, age 5, on the 1801 census. I'm trying to determine who Arne Olsen married. I'm hoping that the Grue bygdebok might shed some light on it. Lenke til kommentar Del på andre sider

Inger Hohler Skrevet Juli 29, 2024 Del Skrevet Juli 29, 2024 (endret) Grueboka 2.2 isn't very helpful in this matter. It only has this to say about the children of Ole Alvsen and his wife Ragnhild Petersdatter: They had 6 children, but four died young. Ole Olsen took over the farm after his father. However, the same book says one Arne Olsen married to an Olea Larsdatter started using the settlement Rismoen under Gotland around 1820. He owned the land. It was not unusual for younger sons to be allowed to buy a small part of the farm, it it was large enough to spare the land. There may be records of the selling of Rismoen mentioning if there was a family relation between buyer and seller. Inger Hohler Skrevet Juli 29, 2024 Del Skrevet Juli 29, 2024 There is a probate record for Arne Olsen Gotland married to Olia Arnesdatter in 1829. https://www.digitalarkivet.no/sk11216091308961 The actual text is somewhat hard to read https://www.digitalarkivet.no/sk20090105721043 This Arne Olsen Gotland was, according to Grueboka 2.2, the son of Ola Arnesen Vestgarden, not Ola Alvson. The probate owned land at Gotland and Holmen. The children were Ole, Rejer, Anne, and Andrea. The name Rejer among the children is not that common in the area. He was 1 1/2 years old. In 1831, Reier Arnesen died, and his mother and siblings inherited. https://www.digitalarkivet.no/sk11216091308959 In 1841, Olia Arnesdatter had remarried. The husband's name was Ole Olsen, and they were living at Gotland. Lenke til kommentar Del på andre sider
Inger Hohler Skrevet Juli 29, 2024 Del Skrevet Juli 29, 2024 Just to confuse things, the 'Hovedmatrikkel' [Main register for taxation purposes] 1818-1832' says Rismoen/Riismoen was a 'husmannsplass' https://www.digitalarkivet.no/ma20130102002446 which means it was not owned by the user. Jay Hagfeldt Skrevet Juli 29, 2024 Forfatter Del Skrevet Juli 29, 2024 I think this proves that Arne Olsen, the son of Ole Alvsen, was not the husband of Olia Arnesdatter. Arne Olsen, son of Ole Alvsen, more likely married Olea Larsdatter.. I'll see if I can find a record of the selling transaction of Rismoen. Thank you very much for your help Inger. Inger Hohler Skrevet Juli 29, 2024 Del Skrevet Juli 29, 2024 (endret) I did find a deed from Ole Alvsen Godtland to Arne Olsen, his youngest son, https://www.digitalarkivet.no/tl20071119320431 This mentions '1 hud, 7 skind' i 1826 and someling like '1 1/2 skind' to Grue Præstebol. So at a later date he owned the land, but not in 1820 when he started using Riismoen. In October 1826 Ole Alvsen Godtland made a deal with his sons that they would care for him and their mother in their old age. I struggle to read what he paid for the service, but it is likely that the sum Arne Olsen bought his part of Gotland for, figured into the calculations somehow. Jay Hagfeldt Skrevet Juli 29, 2024 Forfatter Del Skrevet Juli 29, 2024 Thanks, Inger. I was just studying how to locate land records and mortgages in digitalarkivet. I did find the farm number for Riismoen. Obviously, you have a good understanding of these records to find that deed so quickly. I have to become more familiar with these records and how to find them. Would hlep my research a great deal. Thanks again for all your help. Best Regards.
