Lillehammer Church / Kirke Burial Records

Hello, I'm looking for burial records for my ancestors who were buried in the Lillehammer Church located in the center of Lillehammer around 1920 - 1940. Find-A-Grave only had a few listed and my ancestors were not included. Is there a way to search church records or is there a better search tool than Find-A-Grave?

Christian Larssen b. 1852, Peder Larssen b.1855, Matthias Larssen b. 1857, Ole Larssen b. 1860, Martinus Larssen 1865.

Thanks!

Thank you Dag and Matthias for the information.

Matthias, I've been able to translate many of these documents and it is very useful and much appreciated. I'll follow up to determine if I can find the graves at the cemeteries at the Vingrom Church for Mathias Larsen and the Bjerke Church for Peder Larsen.

The cemetery at Bjerke was used from about 1860 until 1908, when it was replaced by the new chapel and graveyard at Vingrom.

There was no church at Bjerke, called Børkje on modern maps, straight across the lake from Lillehammer

Emigration of Martinius 1884 and his mother and sister 1891 ?

Thank you Nina! I did not know about Martinius' emigration. Yes, his father and youngest son Otto (my great-grandfather) emigrated in 1890 and Martinius and Otto's mother and their sister in 1891. Thanks to your information I see Martinius's destination was Westby, Wisconsin which is where the other family members later lived.

Thanks, I was not finding Bjerke before but do see Børkje now thanks to your information. We will be making our first trip to Norway in a couple weeks and will plan to visit Vingrom and Børkje. Hopefully we can find their grave sites but I've heard many times headstones have been removed after 20-30 years. But it will still be meaningful to find their resting places.

Many Thanks!
