Rose Raymen Skrevet November 8, 2024 Del Skrevet November 8, 2024 I'm seeking information on the route that the Norwegian ship GLENESK built in 1890, took from Norway about 1912. I'm trying to locate an individual named Joseph Albert KOLIN, who arrived in the port of Fremantle, Western Australia, in 1912 but understand he didn't sail directly to Australia from Norway. It's possible that he sailed to the united KIngdom and then to Australia. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Lenke til kommentar Del på andre sider
Werner Kvalem Vesterås Skrevet November 9, 2024 Del Skrevet November 9, 2024 (endret) I found this notice in the norwegian newspaper Social-Demokraten, Friday, January 5, 1912: Translation: London, January 4. It is reported to Lloyd's that the Norwegian bark "Glenest" (from Farsund), en route from Middlesborough to Fremantle, has been towed into Lough Foyle by a steam trawler. The bark has suffered damage and lost the fore-topmast. The next one is from the norwegian newspaper Norges Handels og Sjøfartstidende, Friday, February 16, 1912, and states that she left Belfast bound for Fremantle on February 11: Endret November 9, 2024 av Werner Kvalem Vesterås Lenke til kommentar Del på andre sider
