Burial location and farm location

I have located the birth and death records of my Norwegian ancestors, as well as the parish where there farm was located, through the use of your archives. My 80 year-old father and I are planning a trip to Norway this summer, and I am trying to find the location of their gravesites as well as their farm. They were born and their deaths were recorded in Jevnaker parish - does that mean they are buried at Jevnaker church? Their farm was located in what became Lunner parish, so I do not know if they could possibly be buried at Lunner church. I am slo wondering if it is possible to find the exact location of their farm. This information would mean a lot to us and our trip. Many thanks!

Lunner local parish (Norwegian: "sogn" or "sokn") was part of Jevnaker parish (Norwegian: "prestegjeld") until 1906, when Lunner local parish became a separate parish. Thus, prior to 1906 parish registers for Lunner belongs to the Jevnaker parish archive.

Give the readers the name of your ancestor in Lunner, and the possibility of locating the farm should increase a lot.

You can not expect to find the gravestone, since the custom in Norway is to remove old stones after a given period, and reuse the grave.

Dear Bonnie Cutsforth-Huber

I am sure I can hep you. I was born halfway between Jevnaker and Lunner churches. I can tell you if there are any family graves, and where.  I can find the places where your father’s ancestors lived, and if there any relatives there now, or elsewhere in Norway. And find the people that live there today. I am sure it is possible to visit these places.

Hadeland Lag of America has a large database of Hadeland families that emigrated to the US and Canada. Many people besides me are interested in families with Hadeland origin an may help visitors that come to find their Norwegian roots.  I have many relatives in the US and Canada.

You may give me a name here, and I shall reply. Or send me an e-mail, to perjdesserud@gmail.com and I shall answer you I that way.

Sincerely yours
