The question of the origin of the ancestors of the Rosenvold family

Hello everyone!

I am interested in the origin of Laurits Lauritsen Rosenvold (~1620-1689).

In 2007, a message was posted here on the forum about a butcher (?) Laurits Lauritsen Rosenvold (~1620-1689), who lived in Christiania, and whose wife was Anniken Milchior.

In the 1993 source "Slekten Antzée/Hyllseth" there is a mention of the above-mentioned LLR and members of his family, descendants. At the same time, the source says that LLR was a military man - an infantry captain (obviously, not a butcher!). The source speaks (briefly) about his origins:"Om morslekten ROSENVOLD foreligger der langt mer fyldige opplysninger. I følge en tradisjon skal den ha sitt slektsnavn etter Rosenkrantz ættens gods (slott) av samme navn i Nord-Jylland og således være av dansk opprinnelse..." https://slekt1.com/litteratur/slekten-antzeehyllseth/

That is, according to the source mentioned above, it turns out that the line of LLR's father is unknown, but the line of LLR's mother is known...

Another source (earlier, from 1944) speaks about LLR's inheritance: "... infantry captain Lauritzen Lauritzen Rosenvold, died On November 20, 1689, at Morstuen in East Acker, where the probate was made on January 21, 1690. It was a prosperous place. The Morstuen land near Stubberud with farm, stables and barns, 9 horses, on fertile land, was valued at 100 rd., and the Lindeberg farm in East Acker at 200 rd. There were silver jugs, three cups and a silver bowl, amounting to 71 rd., a necklace of real pearls, gold badges, gold buttons and 86 silver buttons on a brown dress, silver fittings, an oak bedstead with 4 black oak posts inlaid, etc., and portraits of the captain and his wife (the latter). The remaining fortune from 600 rd." Norsk slektshistorisk tidsskrift 1943-1944. Vol.9.Nr.1-4: https://sporbiblioteket.nb.no/loaderTicket?fid=3330143&type=0&key=6c42f67b83f2bb28c33f97b12e4f18f5

Apparently, LLR was a fairly wealthy man who left behind a good inheritance.

On "Geni" you can find mention of both LLR himself and his parents and descendants. In particular, his mother on "Geni" is shown to be Vibike Rosenkrantz, a representative of a well-known Danish aristocratic family. The only and important thing is that nowhere to date has there been any justification for the fact that LLR is related to the Rosenkrantz family and comes from the Danish farms "Rosenvold"https://www.geni.com/people/Lauritz-Rosenvold/6000000007800604458?through=6000000007800466528

LLR's son - Jonas Lauritsen Rosenvold (?-1721) used the following family emblem: 2%20Planter%20Diverse-0054.jpg

Perhaps one of the participants of this forum can tell me where the information that LLR is related to the Rosenkrantz family (that his mother comes from this noble family) came from?

Thanks in advance for any possible hint!

Best regards, Berten

I may be wrong, but I don't think anyone with the last name Rosenkrantz is mentioned in LLR's will.

There is information that Wibikke Rosenkrantz, who is mentioned in "Geni" as LLR's mother, was the wife of a certain Enevold Frederiksen from Randers. Wibikke and Enevold had a son - Frederik, about whom there is the following mention: "...rådstueskriver Frederik Enevoldsens (han nævnes sidste gang i tingbogen 24/8 1674)" (S.33). Fodnote (141): "Frederik Enevoldsen i Randers. – 1686 31/5 er indført et ”Geburtsbrev” om afdøde Frederik Enevoldsen i Randers Rådstueprotokol: ”Hans far var Sl. Enevold Frederiksen her i Randers, hans mor Fru Vibeke Rosenkrantz, hvis forældre var Sl. Otto Rosenkrantz til Boller og Fru Giese Podebusk.” - (“S. Nygårds Samlinger”)" (S. 36).

The question arises whether Vibike was the mother of LLR, as shown in the pedigree chart on "Geni"? After all, there is no reference anywhere to the source of information used in compiling this pedigree chart.

If the Rosenvold family was not of noble birth, does Jonas L. Rosenvold (~1660-1721) (LLR's son) have the right to use the coat of arms shown above? What is depicted in the picture above most closely resembles elements of a noble coat of arms: on the shield, a simple helmet with a lowered (!) visor is shown full face; on the crest, there is an arm in armor with a sword (obviously evidence of the military valor of the coat of arms owner). The shield is round with a rose depicted in the center on a stem with leaves. Perhaps the rose is one of the most common heraldic flowers. Probably, the rose is a reference to the family name.
This coat of arms is given in the publication: "Danske og norske Offiserer 1648-1814". T. 9 (Re-Scha). Side 122, 123 (Rosenvold).
