Per.H.Skaug Skrevet April 8 Del Skrevet April 8 Hi Karen, if you would like anyone to help you, it is important to provide what little information that you do have. Also, since you write in English, I presume your husband's grandfather emigrated, possibly to the US. Any information about his family after emigration will also be helpful, as it will help us trace his family, important dates and possibly movements in Norway before his emigration. Names (and sometimes dates) may have changed from Norway to his destination, so any information will help us find him Lenke til kommentar Del på andre sider
Per.H.Skaug Skrevet April 8 Del Skrevet April 8 (endret) Note that you may be able to find the emigrant here, if the records have been digitized and transcribed. That requires that you know the correct name - or variant of name - that he used while he lived in Norway. https://www.digitalarkivet.no/en/search/persons/advanced You may also want to change the topic of your question, if you give the name and the location/time of your husbands grandfather, you may get a response from somebody who actually knows something specific about him. Mrs. Karen Simonsen, as the topic is called now, will probably make people skip it. It is probably better to type something like Emigrant John Johnson, born around 1845 in the Bergen area (or whatever the specifics may be).
