Seinare flytta familien til Voss og var busett på garden Store Hegg.

Han fekk 2 born – som eg har funne då.

I bygdeboka står det at han flytta til USA

 

Er det nokon som kan finne emigrasjon – og evt kvar det vart av han i USA?

 

Eg treng ikkje vita noko meir om familien hans – det er berre Ole etter utvandring eg er interessert i.

Det er nok han Jon.

Han var gift med Marta (det giftarmålet gløymde eg seint på kvelden) og hadde dottera Torbjørg - me ser at dei reiste saman - Torbjørg er likevel blitt til Torbjørn!

They emigrated with their daughter Torbjørg - listed as Torbjørn though.

She is not in the family tree.

In the 1900 census Martha is listed as having born 8 children, 7 of which are living:

The family tree only lists 7 children.  It also says that the Ole and Marthe married about 1861 in Renville county, Minnesota.

In the 1880 census there is a daughter listed named Torbjor age 12 born Minnesota:

This is the one the tree calls Turine / Turina etc.  I speculate that the Norwegian born Torbjorg may have died early and that Turine is the name sake for her.

But they did maryy Nov 15, 1864 in Voss - and emigrated April 29, 1866 - se above.

The marriage is no 48 - not 45 as = wrongly stated above.

 Marta is her given name - Andersdatter is her patrynomikon - and Hellene is the name of the farm where she was born or grew up.
