Ole Lagesen--Schooling

Hello,

 

My great-grandfather, Ole Lagesen (1865 -- 1929) immigrated to the USA in the mid-1880s. He is registered in the 1865 census under the farm Smedhaugen in Kvikne municipality.

 

Our family understands that he attended an agricultural school in Norway prior to migrating. This is all we know and are wondering if it was some kind of folk school--perhaps in the Kvikne municipality.
