A possible relative of mine is listed as departing Kristiansand on March 20, 1912, aboard the Anker line. I thought this reference might be to the Anchor line listed in the Solem, Swiggum & Austheim ship index, but that line seems not to have continued operating into the 20th century. Does "Anker line" refer to some other line in the index? Also, in the remarks column for this person it says "FOR AT TJENE MER." What is the English translation of this?

For at tjene mer = to earn more money.The "Anker linjen" is referred to as the emigrant line in several Norwegian harbours well into the 1920s.
