I was looking at the 1901 Census for Anna Marie Antonsdtr.It says that she was born in Maridalen in 1878.I am having difficulty finding out which "menighet" Maridalen belonged to between at this time,and the 1840's.Does anyone know ? Tusen takk for hjelpen.

Hi! Maridalen i today a part of Oslo. The periode you are asking for, Maridalen was a part of Aker that was included in Oslo in 1948.

Thanks Svein, Is it included under "Gamle Aker" for the 1870's?

No, I dont think Gamle Aker would be the right place. I dont have the different churches listed here at my place. I would suggest that Vestre Aker would be the right place to start. May be it would be best to check with the Riksarkivet or Oslo Byarkiv(city archives. They have all the info. Good Luck!
