I'll try to explain: With the expression 'Utbjo' it's obvious that you mean Utbjoa, which - to my knowledge - is both a farm and a minor village; situated in the rural municipality of Ølen. And Ølen is one of the many municipalities comprising the district or bailiwick of Sunnhordland. Leirvik at the island of Stord is the administration centre of this particular district. The prefix 'Sunn' in this context means south and the suffix hordland indicates that it is a part of the county of Hordaland.Hordaland county (of which Bergen is both the capital city and county-capitol)is one of the nineteen counties in Norway. The county of Hordaland is often divided in five parts, at least when it comes to judical matters: Nordhordland ('Nord' for north), Midthordland ('Midt' as in middle), Sunnhordland (as aforementioned), Voss and finally Hardanger. The latter being geographically situated inland, the three first mentioned districts facing the North sea (i.e. direction Scotland).Ok, Mr. Mikkelsen, I could probably go on for much longer, but I hope you find this piece satisfactory as I do believe I've answered your questions thoroughly.I wish you good luck in your efforts to find your roots/ancestors in Norway.Regards, Terje Hatvik
