Hei, Can anyone tell me if there is a bygdebok for the Aasen area? I need information about a farm called Flaegstadmarken or Flegstadhaugen. For more information you can write to me or see my message called "Frosta / Aasen FOLKTELLING 1875" I look forward to hearing any advice at all, Thanks, Sara

Hello, Sarah! The place Flekstadmarka or Flekstadhaugen you ask about, is located on Frosta. The parrishes of Frosta and Åsen makes the "prestegjeld" (ministery?) of Frosta.According to the bygdebok for Frosta (Frostaboka band 1), there was one place named Flekstadhaugen and one named Flekstadmarka, both cotters places under the farm Flekstad. They are mentioned on the pages 104 and 105 in Frostaboka.Cotters on Flekstadhaugen were: - Anders Anderssen (b. 1775) and wife Ingeborg.- Per Anderssen (b. abt. 1793) and wife Marta.- Arnt Jakobsen and wife Sara.- Benjamin Arnsen (b. 1825) and wife Gurina.- Lornts Hågensen (b. 1832) and wife. Went to America.- Gunerius Gunnarsen (b. 1857) and his three wives. First wife, Kristianna, was my great-grandmother's aunt. Second wife was named Jonetta. The third one, Mary, was the last one living on Flekstadhaugen. In 1942 (during the WW2), the Germans forced her to leave the place.Cotters in Flekstadmarka: - Anders Anderssen and wife Ingeborg cotters 1801 according to the book (these are the same couple as above).- Ola Kristensen ad wife Marta were cotters in 1810.- Eilert Olsen and wife Jonetta in 1865.- Lornts and Anna - last cotters. The book has more info on most of these people, but unfortunately not all that _could_ have been. Hope some of my writing make sense to you.Yours Arne Langåshttp://home.c2i.net/olangaas a.langaas@c2i.net
