Nils Nilsen was born Dec. 28, 1828 in Førde, his parents were not married, they are Nils Nilsen Jelle (Hjelle) and Solvej(i) Tollev(f)sdatter Rørvig. In the Førde Bygdebok by Finn Borgen Førsund, Vol II, page 151 on Rørvika there is a Tollef Hansson mentioned in the following way:I samme båt som Tordenskjoldthe third paragraph down;Elles gav Eirik Gjertson festesetel i 1801 til Tollef Hansson Floten, i 1807 Johannes Øysteinson og i 1816 til Ole Hansson Nes.I do not understand all of it but I am wondering if this may be her father. Can anyone help????

Hello Sharol.In the 1801 census in Førde,Sogn og Fjordane on the farm Næs I found this: Tollef Hansen 39 year,his wife Agatha Nielsdatter 40 year, and their children Hans 10 year,Martha 7 year and Sølvey 2 year.Tollef and Agatha got married 26.09.1790.He was from Neset /Næs) and she was from Aarskog in Førde parish.In 1831 a Synnøve Tollefsdatter Rørvig moved from Rørvik to Solheim in Gaular ,Sogn og Fjordane.I am not sure if Sølvey (that is the way here name was spelt in the 1801 Census) and Synnøve is the same person , but I think that Tollef and Agatha is the rigth parents for your Solvej.If you have the Bygdebok for Førde you might look for a farm called Næs or Neset.Good luck.Rune Thorstensen

Førde bygdebok, bind I side gir følgende opplysninger: Hovedbruket heter Nes GNR 6 (Side 103) På side 116 er nevnt: Husmannsfamilier og andre på Nes. På side 117 er nevnt: Vikahaugen under bruk I og her findes : Tollef Hansen f 1762 d 1839 på Grøning. Gift med Agathe Nilsdotter f 1761 d 1863 i Rørvika. Born av 1. ekteskapet: a. Synneve f 1791, gift 1816 med Gunnar Monsen Solheim, Gaular, ho tente då i Rørvika. b. Marta, f 1794, til Bergen 1847 c. Hans f 1797 g m Gjertrud Eriksdatter f 1806 c. Sølvi f 1799Hans Tollefsen finnes siden under bruk 3 Flåten, Rørvika med etterslekt

Thank you or Tusen Takk, Rune and Leiv. Both of you have helped me out alot. I had found Tollef Hansen and Agate Nilsdotter in the Førde Bygdebok but I still was not sure if that was the right parents. With your help I will look deeper into these two, I orderd the church records for Førde, hopefully they will be in soon. Tusen Takk Sharol
