I am requesting any help finding the parents of my great, great grandmother. Her name was Johanne Pedersdatter. her spouse was Anders Olsen Svendby. married: August 7, 1815 in Hole, Norway. She was supposedly born: 1775 They had 4 children born in Norway. Ole Andersen Svendby: born 6/26/1816 Helle Randine Andersdatter born:1817 Peter Andersen Svendby born: 3/15/ 1820 Anders Svendby Born: 2/11/1822

Anders Olsen Svendby is 13 in 1801. His father was Ole Anderssen b. 1757 and probably Oles first wife. In 1801 Ole is remarried to Anne Andersdtr, and it seems these two have a new batch of children in the 1790s.There is a Johanne Pedersdatter at Kjølstad in Modum (same parish as Svendby is in) in 1801. She is 27 years old (depending on what time of the year she was born, the 1801 census could show 1775 as age 27). She is married to a Peder Olsen at the time, but if he dies early, she might get remarried in 1815. Her niece`s name is Helle.Another Johanne, who doesn`t match your birthdate, but would have been 18 years old in 1815, and is the only possible match for this marriage in Hole, is the daughter of Peder Olsen and Gunnild Johnsdtr. at the Field farm in Hole.If someone has the bygdebok for Modum or Hole they might be able to look these people up for you. Hole since they got married there and the parish of marriage is often the parish where the wife is born.
