Looking for more info.about Rasmus Rasmussen.Wife Birte Erlandsdatter.Children Rasmus and Lars Rasmussen.Census 1801 list them on the farm"Nordre Overlie" in Lombs.Any help appreciated.S.H.Sponaas.

They lived at the crofter's holding Nedre Haugen, under the peasant farm Systugu Øverli. Rasmus was born 1754 at the crofter's holding Nyøygarden in the same area. Rasmus married Brit in 1781, and they farmed Nyøygarden as crofters under the forest common Strondaålmenninga until the common was sold and the crofters bought their holdings in 1798. For some unknown reason Brit and Rasmus left Nyøygarden and became crofters at Nedre Haugen after 1798 but before february 1801 (the date of the census).Brit was born 1747 at the peasant farm Nordistugu Øverli. Rasmus died in 1810 and Brit in 1832. They had four sons (Syver, Erland, Rasmus and Lars), all grew to adulthood.Yours, Arnfinn Kjelland ak@hivolda.no Editor, "Bygdabok for Lom"

Rasmus Larsson was born ca 1725 probably at Gaukstad (same area) d. 1761. Married 1752 to Kari Rasmusdtr. born ca 1725 at Nedre Haugen, the holding Brit and Rasmus lived at in 1801. Kari d. 1799.Arnfinn
