Er det noko som har opplysningart som kan hjelpe Judy Nelsen på veg? We are trying to trace my husband's grandparents. They were both born in Norway. Bergen or Christiana we think. Grandfather is Nils Nielsen (Nelsen in USA) married to Hansine Hansen daughter of Torlive Hansen. Nils was born in 1886 in Christiansan Norway and was a shipyard foreman in the New York Shipyards during WWII. Hansine Hansen was born on Dec. 14, 1891 in Grimstel Norway. He had 2 brothers & 1 sister. His mother had two sisters: Gurine born 1881 and Sigurd born 1895. Hansine mother was named Ster. That is all the information that we have on them. Think I found Hansine in the 1900 census:Look up Damdalen farm in Barbu parish, Aust-Agder county. Father's name Tollef Hansen, mother's name Ester Hansen.In the emigration records for Christiansand for 1909, there's one maid Hansine Hansen; place of residence Arendal.Regards Kjell Hamberg
