[#6832] Daniel Pedersen, Death record, Buried at sea

My great-grandfather (Daniel Pedersen)died in 1889. He was killed in a boiler room explosion aboard a ship and was buried at sea. I have had no luck finding a death record for him. Does anyone know if there are records somewhere which deal with deaths and burials at sea. I am interested in finding his date of death and details of the accident if possible. He was born 17 July 1861. Any help will be appreciated.

There are some records of burials concerning norwegians died abroad (probably some at sea)here at Digitalarkivet.However I couldn`t find your Daniel at these records.Usually these burials are also recorded at the churchrecords to which parrish the person belonged in Norway.And they are often registrated some time after the burial at sea .The burial of a distant relative of mine was recorded 5 months after his death (1918).rds.
