Seeking information about the parents, grandparents, siblings of Guru Eriksdatter, born about 1804 in Oyer, Oppland. She was the wife of Johannes Pedersen, the subject of my previous inquiry. She died in Sparbu, Nord-Trondelag in 1840 I believe. As always thanks in advance for any help you can give. It is appreciated.

Thank you Per Hauge and Jan Olav for the information. This is undoubtedly the right family. I wonder if there is information in the Øyer kirkebok about the families of Erich and Karie. Do you know of any reason they would not be identified by a patronymic? I assume Kramprud must be the farm name. I did find in the 1801 census an Erich Erlandsen and Karie Siversdatter with children Siver Erichsen and Karie Erichsdatter. The children Jan Olav found does not include Siver. He was identified as being the same age (1) as Karie. Could they be twins? I'd be most interested about parents and grandparents of Erich and Karie or a parish from which they may have come to Øyer if they did not grow up there. do you know if there is a bygdebok which covers Øyer?I will certainly follow up on the kaldor.com lead. It sounds very promising!Sorry for the delay in responding to your help. I posted the original message just before I left on a business trip and am just now responding to e-mails etc. that accumulated while I was gone. Thanks again for your help.

In the 1801 cencus the two brothers Peder Erlandsen and Eric Erlandsen lived at the farm Kramprud with their families. They did not own the farm, just rented it from the owner.I cannot find any information on this family on the Kaldor web-site.I'll search the Øyer Churc Records int he week-end and will be back here if I find any information for you.

From the Øyer Church Records:I have now found Eric and Karie’s son Siver. He was born 7 Oktober 1794 at the farm Lille-Nedremoe in Øyer, christened 19 Oktober 1794 in Øyer Church. There is probably a mistyping in the 1801 cencus, Siver is 7 years old, not 1 year.Eric Erlandsen was the son of Erland Pedersen Blegen in Tretten (a part of Øyer) and his wife Karie Pedersdatter Holmen in Tretten. Erland was married to Karie 30 October 1757, and the church ceremony took place 14 December 1757.I have found that Erland Pedersen Blegen and Karie Pedersdtr. had the following children: 1. Karie Erlandsdatter, baptized 19 February 1758. 2. Per (i.e. Peder) Erlandsen, bap. 16 December 1759. Probably dead before December 1761, but I cannot find the record of his burial. 3. Per (i.e. Peder) Erlandsen, bap. 6 December 1761. 4. Eric Erlandsen, bap. 16 October 1763. 5. Giertrue Erlandsdatter, bap. 27 December 1765. 6. Marie Erlandsdatter, bap. 6 January 1768 7. Anne Erlandsdatter, bap. 6 May 1770. She died 11 months later, buried 24 April 1771. 8. Johannes Erlandsen, bap. 10 May 1772. 9. Anne Erlandsdatter, bap. 26 February 1775.I have also found these 2 marriages:Soldier, unmarried man Erich Erlandsen and the girl Karie Siversdatter i (at) Præstegaarden. Married 24 November 1793, church ceremony 7 January 1794.Soldier, unmarred man Peder Erlandsen paa (at) Kramprud and the girl Sigrie Torgersdatter Gilleboe. Married 22 April 1797, church ceremony 8 June 1797.
