The earliest record of my family is Anders Wael who would have been born around 1700. His first son, Anders Anderson Wael was born in 1723. The family seems to be sailors, skippers or merchant-marine men. They immigrated to Denmark in the early 1700's. I was told the Wael family came from the Isle of Wael, which I have not been able to locate either on a map or on the internet. Any help will be greatly apprecialted. Takk!
