[#9659] Tov Olsen Rauland Uvdal, Buskerud around 1580/1630.

I have recently been informed that Tov Rauland (in Uvdal) married the half sister (Ingeborg Olufsen) of one of my direct ancestors (Gunhild Olufsen). As he is slightly removed from the direct ancestral line, I have no information on him. However it is now possible that he is the father of Gregar Tovsen another of my direct ancestors. Gregar was born around 1604 and lived on Tufto and Nordre Rauland in middle to late 1600.I am therefore seeking information on Tov Olsen, particularly years of marriage and birth of his know children, and if the author of the bygdebok mentions the possibility of other children than those mentioned. According to the bygdebok (pg.1053-54): Tov Olsson Rauland b.ca.1580-90 d.aft.1637 m.bef.1617 Ingborg Olsdotter Enerstvedt. Children: a. Marte m. Torkild Sveinson/Anderson b. Sigrid m. Asbjørn Hermodson c. Tov/Tore m. Kari Olsdotter Nore d. Stein/Steinar m. unknownThere is no mention of the possibility of other children. But, I doubt that the above list is complete.

Hi OddThanks. It looks at the moment as if Gregar Tovsen is not son of Tov Rauland, but the information is very sparse. I had hoped that the years of births of Tov Olsen Rauland's children had been mentioned in the bygdebok, but I assume that none were mentioned as you did not give any. Does anybody else have any information? Mvh Vidar.
