I have been trying to find information on the death of my great-grandfather, (Daniel Pedersen)through the digital archives and church records and have had no luck. Daniel was born 17 July 1861 in Bergen and died sometime in 1889. He was aboard a ship at the time and was killed in a boiler room explosion, and was buried at sea. I would like to find a researcher in Bergen who would be willing to go through the 1889 newspaper archives, looking for details of his death. I have read that the newspapers at that time had a section dedicated to the sailors and shipping industry. Anything I could find out would be appreciated. A death date and the name of the ship would be great. If you cannot help me, perhaps you know someone who can. Thank you, Dave
