I am lookeng for sons and daughters's of Paul Andreassen B 13 Feb 1884 Grytten Parish. This family may be on the Rodstol farm. Who are they? Would like to correspond with you. Kathryn

My best advice:1) Write an e-mail to the local newspaper Åndalsnes Avis, tell them who you are and what you want. (mailto:redaksjon@andalsnes-avis.no)2) Brush up your Norwegian language skills, the generation you are speaking of will not be able to correspond with you in English.3) The mayor in the municipality is Torbjørn Rødstøl, from the Rødstøl farm. He will know who organized the family reuninon held at Rødstøl a couple of years ago. (see: [url="http://www.rauma.kommune.no/>http://www.rauma.kommune.no/) You can also ask the newspaper, they had an article on the event.4) Keep in mind that Øverdalen, the upper part of Romsdalen, is a closely knit community. Any Tom, Dick or Harry in the area is related to everybody else. (Myself I am 4th cousin to a majority in my generation!) Glenn, Thankyou for being so kind to send me all this information on Rodstol People. I am so sorry I can't converse in norwegian. My mother was a daughter of Marit Olsdatter Rodsdol (my grandmother) b Dec 25 1860 Grytten Parish. She came to America 1882 worked very hard here to bring up 10 children. She died of tuberculosis 1912 my mother was age 10 then, put in an orphanage until she was 18. Now that Iam in my elder years I started searching to find her lost family. She was a very bright woman. Im sure she came from good people. I am recovering from a hip replacement. If I could get myself in good shape I would like to se Your Upper part of Romsdalen. It looks beautiful. I will do as you suggested get some one to correspond in Norwegian for me. Thanks again Hoping I can go back on the family genealogy for my children and granchildren. Thanks again.
