From film at the FHC: the Larsen/Nilsen marr was at Trinty Luth, Pastor Torgersen; so i will ask ELCA for a lookup-in 1872 ages were not recorded on the license. The Conrad in the index was from a different Norwegian family(Stavanger). Because of the fire which destroyed the 1890 US census its a problem to determine how many kids, but i did find the death of a child Max W. Larsen on March 4, 1889(18 months) and then the birth of the 'new' Max W. Larsen july 6 1889, which is the one in the 1920 census, i believe. I see him married in the 1930 census but did not have time to copy the details-maybe Kathy will tell us if Max #2 has children. Ellen/Helen died Feb 2, 1898, buried Mt. Olive, as is Max #1. I will visit and learn whatever i can. She was 59 years, 1 month, 3 days at death, so maybe this will help find her in Norway? Lived in IL 25 years, lived at 482 Potomac Ave.

More: on 24 Jan 1903, George Larsen married Miss Alice Larsen, he 54, she 42.(#359687) So thats why i think Max is George's boy. Same Pastor, different church, so again i will ask for a ELCA lookup. ..and i am asking someone for an obit lookup, these may reveal more of the story-perhaps you can figure Helen's birth date and find her at familysearch? The R. might be due to an identity requirement--it need not stand for anything! (does Kathy know of a web site which may 'explain' this?) Roger.

Seems to be our day for new info--the Chicago Trib notice: Mrs. Anna Larson, d. Jan 24, 1913, at 68, wife of Isaac, mother of Edward and Louis, 516 N. Ada; buried Mt. Olive. (we have the other info that Edward might be Mary's, wife #1; i will look in Mt. O for her and hopefully she is with others...Roger.
