Ble gift 1709 med Kari Olsdatter, også hun ville jeg gjerne visst mer om. de ble bosatt på gården Bjørgen og fikk 7 kjente barn: Karen, f. 1710, Jens, f. 1713, Ole, f. 1716, Gjertru, f. 1719, Elias, f. 1720. Siri, f. 1723 og Peder f. 1725. De er også kjent med navnet Bjørgen.
