Ser ut for at alt du har funnet stemmer, Hanne Lise.Fikk idag et svar på en 'query' jeg hadde satt opp på Wisconsin sin genealogy side. kopierer det her for de som måtte ha interesse av dette:'The family went by the name Barron. This is all I have:Hans K. Barron was born (according to his tombstone) 1835. He married April 12, 1865 in Dane County, Wis. to Sophia Gabriel (1839-1921). I think her name may have been 'Americanized' from Gabrielsdatter/Gabrielson, but not 100% sure. In 1860 she was single and living in Madison, Wis. and at that time was using the last name Gabriel. Hans & Sophia had 3 children:1. Gabriel Barron, born and died 1866. Buried Riverside Cemetery, Stoughton, Wis. 2. Andrew C. Barron, born 1869, died 1925. Married to a woman named Agnes (1871-1955). Both buried Riverside Cemetery. I did not find any children for them. 3. Emma Barron, born 1870, died 1924. Did not marry. Buried Riverside Cemetery, Stoughton.Hans K. Barron died in 1871. He is buried at Riverside Cemetery.After Hans died, his widow Sophia married (about 1873) to Hans' brother Christian, aka Sam Barron.Sam was born (according to his tombstone) 1844. He and Sophia had 4 children: Edward, Hannah, John & Lewis.1. Edward Gabriel Barron. Born Oct. 3, 1874 in Stoughton. Married Oct 25, 1905 in Dane County to Christine Amelia Sime. Christine was born May 24, 1881, daughter of Thomas N. Sime & Olena Vilkensdatter Herried. Edward was a World War II veteran who enlisted in Illinois, so obviously they were not living in Wisconsin at that time. Edward died Nov. 17, 1940 and is buried at Riverside Cemetery. I do not have a death date for Christine and did not find a tombstone for her in the cemetery. Edward & Christine had 3 children: Sanford (b 1907), Lester (b Sept 28, 1909 in Cottage Grove, Wis, d. 1977 in Milwaukee Wis.), & Eleanor. Eleanor was born Nov. 19, 1913 in Cottage Grove and died March 31, 2003 in Madison, Wis. I could not find an obituary for her!! :( Eleanor married May 3, 1936 to George Charles Krug (April 21, 1912-July 7, 1988-died in Tennessee). Eleanor and George had 4 children, 3 daughters, and 1 son, however I only have information on 2 of the daughters: Carol Elaine Krug was born Jan. 27, 1937, and Catherine Eleanor Krug was born March 29, 1943. Both girls were baptized at Deerfield Lutheran Church in Deerfield, Wis.2. Hannah Barron was born 1876 and died 1970. Never married. Buried Riverside Cemetery, Stoughton.3. John M. Barron (1880-1945). Buried Riverside Cemetery. No further information.4.Lewis E. Barron (1883-1951). Lewis married first to Nellie Marie Sime (sister of Christine listed above). Nellie was born Feb. 27, 1887 and died Aug. 23, 1932. I did not find any children for them. After Nellie died Lewis married Bertha Caroline Sime, another sister of Christine & Nellie. Bertha Caroline was born Oct. 15, 1891 and died in 1982. I did not find any children from this marriage either. Lewis, Nellie & Bertha are all buried at McFarland Lutheran Cemetery in McFarland, Dane County, Wis.Jorgen K., brother to Hans & Christian, went by the name George K. Barron. He was born (according to his tombstone) 1857 and died in 1937. He married March 30, 1886 to a woman named Anna. Anna was born in Norway in 1843 and died in Stoughton in 1933. George & Anna had 1 child: Atwood Kenneth Barron, born Aug. 6, 1890. George and Anna are buried at Riverside Cemetery. I could find nothing on Atwood Kenneth.That's all I have. I'll keep my eyes open in case I run across anything else from this family. I don't know anything about these people lives, other than many of them worked at the Mandt Wagon Factory in Stoughton. I was unable to find any information in this area for Hans, Jorgen & Christian's brother Lars. Hopefully something here will be of use to you. If you can think of anything else I may be able to search for, please let me know.'
