I'd guess that Ingeborg Thygesdatter Trane (born 1765/1767) maybe was a daughter of Thyge Rasmussen Thrane (1729-1805) and his wife Karen Elevsdatter (1726-1786), who lived at Skog, Ibestad. They had a daughter Øllegård Thygesdatter Thrane (1747-1812), born i Foldvik, Gratangen, Troms.

Your letter is written in a particular and old fashioned style, which make a direct translation to modern english somewhat tricky. My translation will therefore primarily be in intention, so please do not try to compare in words. Olav. According to the Salangs Book: 'About 1789 a farmers son Ingebrigt Dombaas came from Dombaas in Gudbrandsdalen to Skog (Lilleskog) (Skog/Lilleskog are a farm names). He was a bright, able and vigorous man. He married Ingebor Tygesdatter (Trane). Ingebrigt Dombaas became sheriff in 1801 while living on Lilleskog farm. The couple are known to have had only two children, Karen born 1794, married to Tollef Pedersen from Aarbostad born 1795, and Tyge married and living on Brandvold (farm) in Bardo. At the time when Karen and Tyge was married, a good leashold farm was available on Aa in Lavang, and sheriff Dombaas, knowing his district well, bought this property (and gave it) to his brother in law. Karen and Tollef then settled there. After Ingebrigt Dombaas's death, his widow moved to her daughter and lived there till her death. This acording to tge Salangs Book.Tollefs mother was from Engenes, of the old Normann family from Grønes. Through a femal line, Karen eas of the Trane family, descending from a bailiff in Spjelkavik, Sunnmøre. Tollef Pedersen og Karen Dombaas had several children, two of which was Peder Olai Tollefsen and Ole Johan Tollefsen. Peders daughter Ingeborg married captain Kristian Sedonius Kristoffersen, Lilleskog. They had four children: Kristina, married to Jens P. Michelsen, Breivoll, of the old Rasch family. Peder Olaus married to Anna Hallesen, Dyrstad. Konrad Normann married to Dagny Hansen, Nord Forness. Ove married to Johanne Pedersene, Vik.Ole Tollefsens firs wife, Anna Berteusen, Dypvik, died early, but her two sons Bernhard and Ingebrigt both became able Lutheran ministers in America. Ole Tollefsen then married Anna Samuelsen from Dyrstad. In 1867 Ole Tollefsen left for America with wife and many children, the youngest child beein only six months old. His old father coming with him. They had several storage containers with salt meat and thin wafer crispbread, as were comon in those days. (matbomme is a spesific kind of wooden container). The voyange was hard, but they arrived in good health, and struggled their way to Redwing, Minn. The family was amused by several anecdotes. A police officer saw this awesome man with a long knife in his belt. With a smile he first pointed at the knife, then at the container (which he was probably carrying in his hand). Ole understood and put the knife and belt in the container. For two years he worked in Redwing, but then it became known that free land was available in Willmar, Minn. 'It must .........
