Norddal in Møre and Romsdal Church Record

I am wondering if anybody can tell me which church Halvor Evensen and Berte Paulsdatter Uri were married in? The date of marriage is August 3, 1879. Would it be the old Norddal Church? Also what was the name of the minister who performed the marriage? Thank you very much!

The minister would be Nils Astrup, who took up his duty as a minister of Norddalen parish in May 1879.

According to the list showing the activities of the parish minister he was at Dale church Aug. 3, 1879:

He states "A marriage in Ytterdal".

Berte Paulsdatter Uri was age 7 at the time of the 1865 census. She lived at Uri in Valldal with her mother Thorine and brother Peter.

 

There are two churches in Norddal: Sylte in Valldal (built 1863) and Dale (1782). Dale is on the other side of the fjord, the main church. There is no church in Ytterdal (4 km west of Dale), so perhaps the wedding party was there?

 

Nils Astruplater became the leading Norwegian missionary in southern Africa. He was the uncle of Nikolai Astrup, painter.
