Emigranter

Recommended Posts

Anne Stensby Jensen

Familysearch.org ? https://familysearch.org/search

Hvordan vet du at de reiste i 1885 ? Det er viktig med fødselsdato på de du søker etter - det er "ørten" personer med samme navn i USA. Kan de har brukt et annet navn ? Bosted i Trysil f.eks.

Foreldrenes navn ?

3. (3) HELGE PELLESEN MURUÅSEN ((2)PELLE JANSEN, (1)JOHAN NORDIN) was born 23 September 1830 in Berntmoen, Osen, Trysil, Hedmark, Norway, and died 25 October 1912 in Norway.  He married PERNILLE OLSDATTER MELLEMGÅRD 2 April 1858 in Osen Church, Trysil, Hedmark, Norway, daughter of OLE MELLEMGÅRD and MARTE SØNSTRUBEN.  She was born 18 August 1833 in Hagebakken, Trysil, Hedmark, Norway20, and died 4 June 1900 in Norway.

Notes for HELGE PELLESEN MURUÅSEN:
The Osen church records show that he lived at Hagebakken at the time of his marriage in April 1858,
this is confirmed by Per Muruåsen.  The "Trysil Book" says Helge left Øvre Muruåsen in 1858 to build Nedre Muruåsen, which he completed in 1860.  Helge and his family are listed in the 1875 census for Muruåsen by Trysil.  This census also shows Helge's parents living with them.  In the 1900 census, his name is spelled Helge Persen Muruaasen.  Children living with him in 1900 are Ole Petter, Helge and Eline.  Helge  was buried 1 Nov 1912, either at the Nordre Osen or Trysil graveyard.  No gravestone exists.

Much information of this family is from Per Muruåsen of Slettas, Norway.  He is the son of Ludwig Larsen Muruåsen.

Notes for PERNILLE OLSDATTER MELLEMGÅRD:
(also Mellemgårdseie)  The 1875 census shows her place of birth as Osen.

Children of HELGE MURUÅSEN and PERNILLE MELLEMGÅRD are:
 i. OLA HELGESEN4 MURUÅSEN, b. 4 November 1855, Trysil, Hedmark, Norway; d. America.

Notes for ELINE HELGESDATTER MURUÅSEN:
Eline was noted in the 1900 census for Muruåsen, Trysil, living with her father and two brothers.
This census also lists Pauline Muruåsen, born 1888 and Helmer Muruåsen, born 1893.    These
could be children of Eline.

Notes for JOHAN PELLESEN MURUÅSEN:
The "Trysil-Book" lists the date of birth as 18 Nov 1833.  Per Muruaasen says 18 Nov 1837.  The year 1837 is also shown in the 1900 census for Vestad in Trysil.  At this time the family was known as "Vestad" and not "Muruaasen".
