Martin Langlo, gift 14.10.1930 i USA, deportert 1933/34

Recommended Posts

Hallvard Arne Vie

Kona?

SANTA BARBARA
Mildred Langlo, 94, passed away Thursday, June 17, 2010, in Santa Barbara, where she lived for the last 23 years with her son and family. Prior to her move to Santa Barbara, she was a long time resident of Salinas for 45 years.
She was born Aug. 25, in 1915, as Maria Carmela Benevento and was given the name of "Mildred". When she went to school it was presumed her nickname of "Millie" was short for Mildred. Her family (sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews) called her "Babe" as the youngest of her siblings, and preferred to be called "Babes".
She always had a positive outlook on life and greeted each day saying, "Looks like another beautiful day"
She never spoke an unkind word of anyone… She was full of "love" from the heart to anyone she came in contact with – she made everyone feel loved – especially her family. Family was always first, she loved family gatherings and weddings.
She was an animated story teller – children were drawn to her and she showered them with love.
She was a perfect Mom, Wife, Sister, Aunt, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother. She was involved in Cub Scouts as a Den Mother, a Little League Mom who never missed a practice or game of her son and grandson's and a supporter in all activities of her granddaughter. She was involved in PTA holding several posts and with the last being PTA President. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Church in Salinas.
Her personal first love was music and dancing. Supported by her oldest sister, Mary (Billie) Meek, she took tap and ballet. Billie took her under wing and looked after her as a big sister, a relationship that lasted until the end as Billie passed away in late 1993.
She always wanted to be an entertainer. As a young woman she sang in night clubs. A couple of days before she passed away, she was doing dance steps to some music on TV… Dancing to the end. The day before she passed away, a nurse commented on her manicured feet and her response was "I have to shave them so they look nice so I can dance".
None of our lives will be the same with her gone...but all of us are better for the blessings of her being a part of our life.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin Langlo.
Survivors: Son, George Kinton Langlo and his wife, Sue of Santa Barbara; granddaughters, Vanessa Langlo of Los Angeles, and Mackenzie Langlo of Santa Barbara; grandsons, Marty (Erin) Langlo of Santa Barbara, Brian Langlo of Santa Barbara, and Hudson Langlo of Santa Barbara.
Visitation: From 1 to 5 p.m. Thursday, June 24, at the Struve and Laporte Chapel, 41 W. San Luis St., Salinas.
Rosary: 7 p.m. Thursday, June 24, at Struve and Laporte Chapel.
Funeral service: 1 p.m. Friday, June 25, at the Struve and Laporte Chapel.
Entombment: Will follow at the Garden of Memories Cemetery, 850 Abbott St., Salinas.
Arrangements: Struve and Laporte Chapel.

Researching Deportation Records
https://www.uscis.gov/history-and-genealogy/genealogy/genealogy-notebook/researching-deportation-records#2

Klikk på "Order search/ record here"

I know this thread is old, but if anyone still checks this I would like to connect. Martin was my great grandfather and there is a lot of missing information about that side of the family.
