I’m after a copy of the death certificate for Johan Carl Palmstrom, Born in 1829 Arendal, Norway and supposedly died in maybe Kragero or Kristiansand, Norway. I would also like to see the names of his parents Peter Andreas Palmstrom and Elizabeth ( Elise ) Marie Larsdatter/Thomasen, on the certificate. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thx Mark Peterson

Yup, several web pages say that Karl = Charles emigrated to Australia.

I can only find one man that was born in Arendal, Norway in 1829 that would match my Charles ( JC Palmstrom ) Peterson. Also the website www.palmstrom.net has a Johan Carl Palmstrom leaving in about 1854/55 going to Australia. They have since deleted the wording “Via USA” from the website. I have emailed the site, asking why they deleted it, but still no reply. Thx Mark Peterson

So if Johan Carl Palmstrom died in Norway, then he would’ve died between 1854-1865. If no death record is found in Norway, then my Charles Peterson must’ve been once known as JC Palmstrom, who went to the USA in about 1854/55 and married Ellen Cavanagh and in 1856 came to Australia. His birth surname was: Pedersen.

So it looks like no one can find a death certificate for a Johan Carl ( birth surname Pedersen) Palmstrom, who was born in 1829 in Arendal, Norway. So he might be the one from the nobility family of Johan Mattsson Lange Palmstrom, who left Norway in about 1854/55 and came to Australia VIA USA. Thx Mark Peterson
