Karen Joensdatter Qvennild - Klæbu

I am posting this on behalf of Brad Froslee, living in the US. 

I am researching my gradmother’s line that goes back to Karen Joensdatter Qvennild. In the Klaebu Bygdebok and church books I could get no further, but had created theories. Recently I ran across this change of estate for Joen Olsen Qvennildsplass and realized I had broken through the brick wall and found Karen’s father. But I want to make sure I get all of the family information correct. If anyone is willing to translate this page for Joen Qvennildsplass skifte, that is greatly appreciated. It is found on the right page starting approximately 1/3 of the way down. Thanks so much.

Transcribing and translating all takes time. Formal details and phrases may not be so interesting - and quite difficult to translate to understandible English.

The following includes the familiy relations:

 

The change is after  "Huusmand paa Pladsen Qvenmilds-Pladsen i Tiller Sogn og dette [Klæbu] Præstegield  .... Jon Olsen",

between his surviving widow "Berrethe Svendsdatter" and their in legal marriage 2 sons and 5 daughters, of name and age specified as follows

"Svend Jonsen" 10 years, "Ole Jonsen" 3 years, "Berrethe Jonsdater" 23, "Maren Jonsdatter" 17, "Anne Jonsdatter" 16, "Karen Jonsdatter" 13,

"Ingeborg Jonsdatter", 7 years.   The sons and the youngest daugther are at home with the mother. The others are away in service.

"Eskild Qvennild" is "Laugverge" for the widow.

"Anders Løvaas" is appointed as guardian for the children.  I cannot see any relations to Eskild or Anders mentioned.

Basically, if available, the guardian(s) should be relatives.

 

In the first meeting, Anders is ill, and the change has to be postponed.

Then on 10 Nov. a new meeting is held, now with Anders present.  Most of the information, including widow, children, "Laugverge" and guardian

is repeated again.
