Something is 'not so googt' this am. All sorts of connection foulups. Is it just me? Might be my poor isp. Roger.

Nope, not just you - me too. Both last night and today - 'service unavailable' - 'server placed offline' etc...

The server went down a short while before Midnight (Norwegian time), and we were not able to restart it till just before 11 this morning. We have had between 11 000 and 17 000 searches an hour since the restart (4-6 searches per second on average), and it seems the server finds that to be almost too much.

Suddenly the traffic doubled. I have placed a restriction on maximum 40 users simulatanious. When you get the message 'service unavailable' - 'server placed offline' the maximum number has been reached. This do not mean that only 40 persons can work at the same time; it just means that when you send a request to the server no more than 40 request may be answered simultatiously. If you try 5 seconds later you should be OK.

I just heard that we had been on national TV on Saturday, which explain the suppen rise in traffic. If it stabilise on this high level we make the necessary changes to avoid inconveniences, but will wait a few days to see what happens.
