Ah, yes. This would be John Johnsen Jux. That means that the Geni profile would be correct regarding the parentage of Marit.

It is possible that what I interpreted as ‘Fin’ in Marith’s baptism, actually is Jux.

I see he is called Jux in other sources as well, like the 1801 census,
