I am in search of information about my great grandfather's father. My great grandfather was Ole Olsen Lysgaard born 1 October 1833 in Østre Toten (https://www.digitalarkivet.no/kb20070603750285 Link to notice of Ole's birth in the Ostre Toten clergy book 1827-1839, Book #1, page 54.) His sister Martha Marie was born 11 December 1836 in Østre Toten (https://www.digitalarkivet.no/kb20070603750299 ) They were the only two children of Ole Olsen Fjeld and Sonnou Hansdatter who were married November 30 1832. Ole is listed as 28 (born ~1804) and Sonnou (1795). From that point back I can find no verifiable information on Ole's parents. There are numerous Ole Olsen's born in Ostre Toten (noted on census records) in that approximate time frame but nothing that can be triangulated. Ole and Sonnou and their two children emigrated to Biri in 1843 (https://www.digitalarkivet.no/kb20070603750299 ). Ultimately Ole Olsen married Heline Evensdatter (25 March 1834 in Biri) in ~ 1856 in Biri (records lost to fire) With their family the emigrated to America in 1865. I can trace Sonnou her parents and her siblings. For Ole's parents, I can only speculate until I find some verifiable informaton. There are a number of Ole Hansen's that somewhat fit the timeline in Østre Toten (1802-1805) but when I try to bring them forward I can't verify any because there are always more children. On a number of on-line family trees people have put in Ole Amundson, but the spouse is different so I know those are incorrect. Sonnou died 03 April 1854 and was living at Olstad https://www.digitalarkivet.no/kb20070201640356, and I believe Ole remarried to Guri ~1860 Evensdatter https://www.digitalarkivet.no/census/person/pf01038066003387 I would be greatful for any ideas, suggestions, links or whatever that might help me work through this.
