Søsteren til Alvilda: IDA S. REVERTS, age 84, of Luverne, died Friday, October 12, 2012, at her home. She was born April 11, 1928, in Luverne, to Isaac and Serena Olson. She graduated from Luverne High School in 1947; and later attended community college in Canby. Ida married Vernon Reverts on August 27, 1950, in Luverne. After their marriage, the couple farmed in rural Ellsworth until they moved to a farm southeast of Luverne. In 1959, they moved to their farm northwest of Luverne. Ida was a Teacher and Real Estate Agent; and also worked as a Tax Preparer. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Luverne; the GLCW; Luverne Lions; Rock County Fair Board; Luverne VFW; President of the Luverne Ladies Auxiliary; and was Big Buddy of the year in 2010. Ida loved attending and helping with the Rock County Fair. She also loved her family, especially following her grandchildren and great grandchildren in all of their activities. Ida is survived by her four children, Larry Reverts, Luverne; Ken (Jodi) Reverts, Luverne; Dale (Cindy) Reverts, Luverne; and Kathy (Dave) Schoen, Prescott, WI; grandchildren, Traci Gyberg, Terri Baker, Ben (Misty) Reverts, Tanya (Mike) Stroh, Cody (fiancée, Karissa) Reverts, Macrina Reverts, Micheal Reverts, Amanda (Adam) Breheny, Matthew Reverts, Zachary Schoen and Samantha Schoen; great grandchildren, Dylan, Jordyn, Paige, Riley, Hunter, Brody, Ty, Kylie, Boen, Kourtney, Jacob, Joshua, Tanner, Carson, Olivia, Dominic and Bailey; step grandchildren, Taylor Stroh, and Chase & Sydne Johnson; step great granddaughter, Madison Fodness; and her little buddy, Madison Kruger. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vernon, on September 6, 2004; an infant son, Verlyn; brother, Obert Olson; and a sister, Alvilda Hoiland. Visitation will be from 4-8pm Monday at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Luverne; and one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Funeral will be 10:30 am Tuesday at Grace Lutheran Church, in Luverne, officiated by Rev. Josh Enderson. Burial will be in the Maplewood Cemetery in Luverne. Vernon Reverts was born to William and Tena (Buss) Reverts on April 30, 1926, in Little Rock Township, Nobles County. He attended school in Ellsworth and Little Rock, Iowa. He was drafted in the U.S. Army in May 1946, where he served in the infantry. He was honorably discharged in October 1947. He married Ida Olson on Aug. 27, 1950. After their marriage, they farmed in rural Ellsworth until they moved to a farm southeast of Luverne. In 1959, they moved to their farm northwest of Luverne. Mr. Reverts was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Luverne, lifetime member of the VFW, Cooties and served on the Rock County Fair Board for many years. He enjoyed farming. Survivors include his wife, Ida Reverts, Luverne; three sons, Larry Reverts, Ken (Pat) Reverts, and Dale (Cindy) Reverts, all of Luverne; one daughter, Kathy (Dave) Schoen, Prescott, Wis.; 10 grandchildren, Traci (Cory) Gyberg, Terri (Dean) Baker, Ben (Misty) Reverts, Tanya (Mike) Stroh, Cody Reverts, Amanda Reverts, Matt Reverts, Mike Reverts, Zachary and Samantha Schoen; one stepgrandchild, Jason (Renae) Johnson; six great-grandchildren, Dylan and Jordyn Gyberg, Paige, Riley and Hunter Baker, Tanner Reverts; three stepgreat-grandchildren, Taylor Stroh, Chase and Sydne Johnson; and many nieces and nephews. Ja, det hadde vært kjekt å få vite navnet på kona, event. navnene på konene denne typen hadde. Vi har vel etter hvert dannet oss et bilde av en mann som ikke kunne ha vært enkel å leve med (mildt sagt), så det hadde vært en liten oppreisning post mortem at navnet/navnene på hans kone® hadde kommet for dagen.

Helt håpløst er det nå ikke :D Vedlegger klipp fra flere folketellinger. Jeg fant først Marie Kathrine i 1880, deretter sypige Johanne Marie i 1870. Hun er født i Avlum sogn, Ringkøbing amt. I 1860 finner jeg henne så i Avlum med sin mor som er skilt. Her er bekreftelsen på at det er de rette personene, for moren er den samme som i 1880 tar seg av Johannes datter. I 1850 er faren fremdeles endmed familien, så da har du også ham. Kirkeboken med dåpen til Johanne og den videre historie finner du vel selv ? :rolleyes: Med hensyn til Kristian er det en annen sak. De var jo ikke gift og selvom han het Kristian Smed Kristiansen (Kristensen), så er det ikke enkelt. Jeg har funnet en med dette navnet, men han var gift før 1872.
